Over the past years we have had several customers who were remodeling on a time frame. In many cases we are able to help them make their goal with punctual deliveries and on demand customer service. However we are all familiar with Murphy’s Law and not everything always goes as planned. Proper planning is key to keeping a project on schedule, below are a few ideas we have put together to help you finish your project on time.
The first step is to make a backup plan. Things happen, its best to plan for the worse but hope for the best this way you will not find yourself in a compromising position. Its best to avoid compromising situations for example; an all too familiar story is families remodeling a large bathroom a week before Christmas (or another major holiday) when they are having several guests stay at their home. This is a nightmare waiting to happen if something major goes wrong in the remodel the homeowner is in an awkward position. It’s best to wait till you have a window of time when the bathroom will need be a necessity.
Order your bathroom equipment ahead of time. This is especially important if you are order large bathroom appliances online such as modular steam showers or bathroom vanities. You want to make sure you receive these about two weeks before you plan on installing them so you may inspect them and if there is the unlikely event of damage you will have ample to time to get the replacement parts delivered so your installation will still be on time.
Avoid preparatory labor for these types of products if at all possible. There may be slight manufacturing discrepancies depending on the model and brand of product you purchase. This will save you time and labor; it can be expensive to do things twice.
In short its best to plan your remodel several months in advance, this will relieve much stress and will allow you to enjoy the process rather than dread it.
